As part of a major step towards digitalization and transparency in the insurance sector, effective November 17, 2025, premium collections for Compulsory Traffic Insurance policies will only be accepted via credit card. This new regulation will gradually be extended to include other insurance products as well.
In accordance with the latest legal requirements, this new system mandates that all Compulsory Traffic Insurance policies — and soon other types of insurance policies — must be issued in a way that enables credit card payment. Policies issued under this new system will be verifiable during inspections conducted by teams assigned by the General Directorate of Police. Through this system, both the policyholders and the traffic officers conducting checks will be able to view and verify the policies digitally via computer or laptop.
