Obligatory Traffic Insurance does not cover damages in situations such as racing, test driving, safety testing, speed testing or similar situations, as well as transporting passengers as a rental or paid service, incurring damages after serving as a trailer for a broken-down vehicle, or operating a vehicle under the influence of excessive alcohol or drugs as stated by law.
If you get into an accident, you must immediately call the police to the scene and not interfere in the vehicle until their arrival. An alcotest should be performed within 60 minutes of the accident taking place. Vehicle repairs should commence only after a surveyor is present at the scene of the crash and the insurance company has granted permission to do so.
A claim must be filed within 24 hours of the incurred damage.
